Governor Dave Freudenthal has declared April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in Wyoming. During this month, the Wyoming Division of Victim Services will be joining with victims, service providers and Wyoming citizens to focus the public’s attention on this important issue and draw attention to the fact that sexual violence remains an intolerable violent crime with public health implications for every citizen of Wyoming.
Sexual assault is an intolerable crime that affects all of us. It permeates and deteriorates society as a whole. Its impact can be found in our schools, on our playgrounds, campuses, families, workplaces, and threaded throughout our society. Sexual Assault Awareness Month is a continuation of the efforts to bring about change and justice, promote healing, and to create a tomorrow that transcends sexual violence.

April 1, 2010 is National Census Day and it is vital that everyone in Wyoming is counted in the 2010 Census.
For every household that does not return the Census form that was mailed out. The government has to send out a census worker. This costs tax payers approximately $57. The money includes census taker wages, training and transportation costs.
It’s much cheaper for the taxpayers if people just mail back the census form.
If you have not mailed back your form, please do so today.
