For those of you camping this weekend, we have some information on Glendo State Park and Hawk Springs.
Visitors to Glendo State Park are warned that water levels on the reservoir are quickly rising, and are expected to see an increase of two feet over Memorial Day weekend, according to information provided the Bureau of Reclamation.
Campers and recreationists are cautioned to locate campsites and keep vehicles well above the shoreline as the reservoir is at capacity.
State Park officials have closed access to the area north of Cottonwood Campground (Indian Point, Burnt Wagon and Muddy Bay) due to severe road damage caused by heavy rains and rising water levels.
Additionally, if water levels rise as predicted, the access road North of Cottonwood Campground will also be flooded.
Recreationists are urged to use caution when undertaking any activities on the reservoir due to the high water levels.

Hawk Springs had some flooding a couple weeks ago, but as of right now, all roads should be passable. However, the water there is at capacity so there is a possibility of flooding if they get more moisture.

Today is the deadline to run for county and city office.
Monday May 31 Torrington Public Swimming Pool and Water Slide opens, Jirdon Park, 25th Avenue and East G St.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
