    LINGLE GIRLS DOMINATE 1A MEET

The Dogger girls finished at the top in ten of the seventeen events and had the second place finisher in three other events at the regional track meet in Cheyenne.  In three of the events, the Lady Doggers finished first and second on their way to dominating the team race winning by more than 70 points over second place Upton.  Kaylee Greenwald was a triple gold medalist winning the 200, the 800, and the high jump; Melissa Bowlin won gold in the 1600 and the 3200.  The Guernsey-Sunrise Lady Vikings placed fourth in the meet, scoring most of their points in the field events and particularly the shot and discus.

    REGIONAL SOCCER RESULTS

LADY BLAZERS QUALIFY FOR STATE TOURNAMENT

With a 2 to 1 shootout win over Powell in the Regional Play-in Match, the Lady Blazers punch their ticket to the state tournament in Sheridan next week.  Torrington played without the services of the injured Catlyn Cummings and was able to finish regulation with a 1 to 1 due to a great defensive effort.  Neither team was able to score through double overtime and the match went to a shootout; the Lady Blazers dominated the shootout 3-0 over the Lady Panthers.  Taylor Baker scored the goal in regulation on an assist from Brittany Schffer and Mikayla Brower had 14 saves in the match.  Torrington will face Buffalo at 2:00 Thursday in Sheridan in state action.

The Blazer Boys' dropped their Regional Match to Cody by a final of 3 to 1.  Manual Martinez scored the goal for Torrington on a penalty kick.  Despite posting a 9 win and 6 loss season, the best in program history, the Blazers will not make the trip to the state tournament.
